Dental whitening

In today’s increasingly aesthetic society, a bright smile is a valuable asset. Sometimes, however, teeth lose their whiteness through staining or gradual yellowing. If you want to improve the appearance of your smile, teeth whitening offers an effective solution.

At the Claude Monet practice, we offer at-home tooth whitening under the supervision of our dentists, to ensure safe, long-lasting results.

Why opt for tooth whitening?

The whiteness of your teeth can be affected by various factors, such as diet, smoking or simply aging. With a tooth whitening treatment, you can regain a brighter shade. The treatment we offer uses a specific gel that acts on the pigments responsible for unwanted discoloration, without altering the structure of your teeth.

How does the treatment work?

We only use home bleaching methods. This process involves the use of custom-made trays, made from dental optical impressions (no impression paste). Here’s how it works:

  1. First consultation: During this visit, we’ll assess the condition of your teeth to determine whether whitening is appropriate. We’ll also take optical impressions with our 3D camera to create your custom-made trays.
  2. Mouthpiece creation: These mouthpieces are customized to fit your teeth perfectly, guaranteeing optimum comfort and maximum effectiveness.

  1. At-home treatment: You apply the whitening gel supplied by the practice to the trays, as instructed. Treatment generally lasts between two and four weeks, depending on your needs and the shade of your teeth.

Results and follow-up

The first results are visible after just a few days’ use. The complete treatment provides long-lasting whiteness that can be maintained for several years with good dental hygiene habits.

Follow-up with your dentist allows you to optimize results and plan maintenance sessions if necessary.

Side effects

Tooth whitening is safe when properly supervised. Some people may experience temporary tooth sensitivity, which usually disappears by the end of the treatment. A desensitizing gel is applied daily during treatment to alleviate this discomfort.
